Vera Duarte has a PhD in Sociology from the University of Minho. She has taught at the University of Minho, the Portuguese Catholic University and has been an Assistant Professor at the University of Maia (UMaia) since 2011. She is a researcher at the Criminology and Behavioural Sciences Research Unit (UICCC/UMAIA, Portugal).
